New paper

I have put a Postscript copy of the latest paper about 'multiple alignment' in
our anonymous ftp area (ftp://ftp.sees.bangor.ac.uk/pub/gerry/causality).
The file is called 'cause_ma.ps'.

The paper is called "Causality, statistical learning and multiple
alignment" and is about how the idea of "information compression
by multiple alignment, unification and search" may help understand
how concepts of cause and effect may be learned and used.

If you would like a copy and anonymous ftp or Postscript is not
available to you, please let me know and I will send a printed copy.

Any comments on this article may be posted to CasC or mailed to me
direct if you prefer.
